Ice Climbers suck, but they shouldn't be removed at this point.

Mte, Dark Pit, Dr. Mario, and even Lucina seem pretty pointless. But especially Dr. Mario. Like, isn't Luigi already similar enough to Mario?

I wish there would be another Metroid fighter. If not Ridley, at least something like a generic Space Pirate or Dark Samus.

Maybe this will motivate them to take out Dr. Mario and add in a secret character no one knows about.

That's true. Also, the supposed "clones" aren't grouped with their own franchise, supporting the idea that not all players are unlocked yet and the roster might end up forming a square.

We knew the Ice Climbers would be cut in the 3DS version. We don't know about the Wii U version yet, though.
