To be honest a lot of factors went in to the decline of ratings; a major lack of promotion compared to previous years, no host to keep the show going smoothly, the slate of performers was kind of dull, etc. etc.

I actually agree with this. No one in real life around me was talking about her performance unlike last year when Miley performered. It was a great performance but not some legendary performance like the Hive here thinks just because she got praised for it

Its obvious that she saved the show and if it wasnt for her the ratings would have been alot worse, you all bandwagon way too much as its clear the GP just wasnt here for the overall show clearly.
