Lana also is known to come up with the video treatments for her iconic videos. She envisioned Born to Die, National Anthem, and Ride narratives for instance. She is a genius!

Alejandro would be a great music video without the two minute "ale-alejandro's" and the opening. But I feel like you can say that length.editing is the biggest issue about every single long Gaga video (other than Paparazzi and Telephone).
