Even if the student is 18, its a conflict of interest and lots of people consider it to be inappropriate which is why its a problem.

College students I don't think it's a big deal because they're both adults. High school students is a big fat no.

Honestly if you're both adults I say go ahead. But if there is a contract that states you cannot do it then that is understandable.

I don't think there's anything wrong with it besides the fact it is illegal.

I think it is okay for a college professor to date a student that isn't in their class or majoring in their department where they can pull favors.
