As of last night, I'm honestly inclined to say that the #2 spot belongs to Beyoncé. I think she has honestly surpassed every single living pop star, including Madonna.

"Pop act" as in artist? Not even close. Her catalog of music is just not that great, there are many older artists above her, and even some of her peers.
