Yours Truly showed promise of an artist with a vision, a cohesive record that not only mixed R&B and Pop with flawless precision but it was nostalgic, almost a tribute to the most popular 90's R&B/Pop artists. Critics loved it and loved the fact that they had someone to compare to Mariah because none of them saw that as a negative and most critics based their reviews on that alone.
This album is her "mainstream hit" so to speak. Let's be real, this album LACKS in quality. The hits are everywhere and the popular producers are at this party, chasing trends and nullifying her voice to fit within those boundaries. But it's a given; she wanted worldwide popularity, and she achieved that.

Exactly. I think this album will do the trick in giving her hit singles, but in terms of quality she's declined quite a bit from her debut. This album is all over the place and it's unfortunate that she has walked away from nearly everything that made her unique.
