Why does MTV keep calling "Royals" Rock?
This is the 2nd time they've called "Royals" by Lorde rock
She is not Rock she is freaking pop. Do they not know what rock is?

I guess because it's alternative, it gets pushed into rock by Billboard and MTV?

They should stop calling it rock, even though obviously rock fans ( closeted hip-hop haters) love it and treat it like rock. Even the beat has hip-hop elements.

Yeah, it's definitely not rock. The song has a hip hop beat for starters.
I think it gets called rock since her label marketted her as an alternative singer, and people like MTV and Billboard group alternative with rock.
