My thoughts on Majical Cloudz's 'Impersonator':
Well, this is definitely a strange album. I have never even heard of this group's existence prior to this list, but they do deserve their place on this list. 'Impersonator' is not a record that will blow you away with complexity and technical ability. It is an album of openness and vulnerability. All of the tracks have this simply gorgeous hollowness to them that makes this album sound unlike any other. The standouts for me were "Impersonator", "This Is Magic", "Silver Rings", "Bugs Don't Buzz", and "Notebook" with "This Is Magic" likely being my favorite track. I love the emotion that is conveyed throughout this record, and the vocals are just superb. Majical Cloudz is a band that will stun you with simplicity and crush you with emotion, and that is what makes 'Impersonator' a truly special record.
I listened to it in full earlier today when I was doing some work in my room and it really clicked. I'm definitely going to have to give it a couple more listens, but I really liked the dank electronic vibe of the album; it was still pretty accessible and almost danceable at times. Very good.

My thoughts on Chance the Rapper's 'Acid Rap':
So, Chance the Rapper is someone that definitely takes some getting used to. When I started playing the first track on 'Acid Rap', I was not expecting his voice and style to be so... different. It was by no means bad, it was just unexpected. However, by the end of the record, I had realized that 'Acid Rain' was one of the best and most unique hip-hop albums (technically a mixtape, but whatever) I had heard in the last decade. Chance the Rapper's style is so incredibly interesting, and I think he shines the most on his solo tracks rather than his collaborations. 'Acid Rap' started off a bit weak (relative to the latter half of the record), but from "Interlude (That's Love)" the album takes off, and is some of the best collection of hip-hop songs I have heard. The standout tracks for me were "Good Ass Intro", "Pusha Man", "Interlude (That's Love)", "Favorite Song", "Smoke Again", "Acid Rain", "Chain Smoker", and "Everything's Good (Good Ass Outro)". My favorite track is either "Acid Rain" or "Chain Smoker", as Chance really shines the most when he is solo. Overall, this mixtape is definitely worth listening to and I can see myself spinning this record for awhile whenever I'm in the mood for some good hip-hop. I cannot wait to see how his career unfolds.

Well, that's really hard for me to choose, especially since a lot of them are in different genres.
I guess I can give you the albums I have played the most times though, but you have to keep in mind that I listened to these albums in order, so of course the earlier ones are subject to have more plays overall. I'm sure in a month or so, it will be much clearer what my favorite albums are. I would not say this is the proper order of which albums I liked the best, but it is the best I can do for now, as it's too difficult for me to choose without giving it some more time.

Ok cool! I have a good amount of those, great albums! I think I might have to give Devotion another listen or two though. I downloaded it when it was really cheap on Amazon and it didn't really do too much for me.
I've been wanting to get into Crystal Castles for forever so I'll check out II soon! And I liked what you had to say about Impersonator, let me check that one out soon also. I did like the track that they had with Grimes on her album.
Also, I don't think it made the mid-decade list, but right now I am listening to Forest Swords - Engravings and it's amazing (#34 Album on Pitchfork's 2013 list). Instrumental electronic music that's very downtempo, but also unlike a lot of other music. It's pretty dynamic, and constantly changing between instruments and styles. There is the occasional vocal sample, but overall the music is pretty ghostly. I'd say if you've heard FKA Twigs's new album, Engravings isn't too far off, Engravings is less poppy, slower, and doesn't have vocals, but it is just as dynamic, adventurous, and uses space in a similar way

No worries. Devotion is a pretty solid pop album, but I'm unsure how long I will continually play it for. Crystal Castles are amazing (from what I have heard so far), and I am addicted to a few of their tracks on (II).
Sounds interesting, and I love FKA Twigs' new album (gonna listen to it again soon, and post something about it in this thread) so I am sure this will be interesting to listen to. I will add it to my list of albums I will listen to after the top 100. I have so much music to listen to.

My thoughts on FKA Twigs' 'LP1':
FKA Twigs seems like she came out of nowhere this year. I personally had never heard of her, prior to 'LP1', when the internet seemingly went crazy over the record, and for good reason it turns out. This album offers a constant barrage of sex anthems, and nearly every track is a brilliant success (I was not really a fan of "Video Girl"). Every other track I would deem a standout for me in some sense of the word. My favorites are definitely "Two Weeks", "Pendulum", and "Lights On". Her artistic style is simply infectious and the intricacies in the production are really the key reasons for this record's outstanding success. FKA Twigs is one of the most hyped new artists of the year, and that is for good reason. She has amazing potential, and I only see great things from her in the future.

My thoughts on The War on Drugs' 'Lost in the Dream':
My thoughts on this album are very mixed at the moment, because I was not (and am still not) thoroughly impressed with most of the tracks. However, the standouts are simply golden enough to carry this album to success overall. I am a bit puzzled how it ended up so high on this list though, but oh well. I am not saying that this was a terrible album to listen to by any means, but I feel that it lacked the energy that makes this band shine the most. This album screams 80s Heartland Rock, and I wish there were more songs like "Red Eyes", with those enormous brilliant hooks that just grab you instantly. So let's talk about "Red Eyes" just for a bit. This track is BY FAR the standout on this album, and is easily one of the best, if not the best song released in 2014. The hook on this song is huge, and everything about it is incredibly addicting. I could see this song being one of my most played songs of all time and it carried the record to success in the end. Other standouts for me were "An Ocean Between Waves", "Eyes To The Wind", "Burning", and "In Reverse". If only there were just 1 or 2 more tracks comparable to the brilliance of "Red Eyes" though, then this could of easily been one of my favorite albums of the decade, in other words, 'Lost in the Dream' is a good and solid album, but it could have been outstanding.

My thoughts on James Blake's 'James Blake':
It is rare to play the first track of any album that you have never listened to before and instantly think "I am going to love this album", but that is exactly what I thought after listening to the intro track on this album titled "Unluck". I felt an instant connection to his style the moment I heard it, and I fell in love with it so quickly. This album sounds unlike any other electronic album I have heard before. It is a quiet album, yet makes incredibly strong statements, and has more power than any bombastic electronic album ever could. The standout tracks for me were "Unluck", "The Wilhelm Scream", "Lindisfarne I", "Lindisfarne II", "Limit To Your Love", "To Care (Like You)", "Why Don't You Call Me", and "Measurements". There is definitely a beauty to every track on this record, but my definite favorite was "The Wilhelm Scream". His vocals almost sound like whispers at certain points, but are so strong emotionally. They fuse brilliantly with the production of every song on this record, and in the end, it produces so much success, and makes it one of the best albums released this decade.

I feel that Take Care would have been a much better album with more songs like "Crew Love", "Take Care" and "Shot for Me" and less songs like "Make Me Proud", "HYFR", and "We'll Be Fine". I see he evolved musically a bit on Nothing Was The Same though, but I think he could take some more risks.

My thoughts on Rustie's 'Glass Swords':
This electronic album is simply INSANE. There really is no other way to describe it, every track is full of energy, sometimes far too much energy however. I would say roughly half of the album is pretty good, while the other half succumbs to issues in regards to its volume and level of insanity. I am honestly surprised that this album was so highly scored (on Metacritic), because to me it was not really that special of an album. There are definitely some tracks that are worth listening to, because when Rustie gets it right in terms of energy, sound, and volume, the tracks are simply infectious. "Hover Traps", "Ultra Thizz", "Death Mountain", "Cry Flames", "After Light", and "All Nite" are definitely worth listening to (my favorite was probably "All Nite"). Overall, this album was kind of surprise for me, as I had never heard of this artist before, and had no idea what to expect musically. A lot of the songs give me "Skrillex vibes", but a lot more insane. I'll leave you with one of the songs that is pretty easy to love (if you are into any kind of electronic music), give it a spin if you want:

I just have always thought it was really corny, I don't know how to explain it; but it just feels to drag on and on. I'll have to re-listen to James Blake soon, it's been too long. And I kind of agree with your thoughts on Take Care, but I'm a huge fan of Drake so it's perfect in my eyes and one of my favorite albums. I will say that being a hip-hop album, HYFR and We'll Be Fine serve a purpose for being the necessary bangers. Make Me Proud is good but just a little patronizing.
I love that you listened to Rustie also, I love that album. It's a headrush of a record! I'm not going to lie, I bought it a year or two ago because I like the cover, but it's amazing. He just released a follow-up yesterday, that I really want to get.
Also, to anyone reading, I'm trying to rep Drake in this game. You know he's one of the most acclaimed musicians working today. On Pitchfork's mid-decade list, he ranked #41 for Nothing Was the Same, and #12 for Take Care. Please support one of the most boundary pushing and influential musicians.
