From what I've gathered they said nationals in those areas will be infected, not that people will be infected in first world countries.
Tbh it isn't too bad for MEDCs. It's not very infectious because it isn't airborne, the only reason it's so rife in West Africa is because there isn't good enough sewage infrastructure which makes it easy for body fluids to pass it on. Also healthcare procedures are different so they're more susceptible to it.
