Photographer David LaChapelle first met Britney in 1999 for her infamous Rolling Stone magazine cover shoot, then reconnected with her for the “Everytime” music video. He says at the time, Britney was unmotivated to finish filming that video and, frankly, was over it. All of it.

Didn't her label make her change the original concept because of the backlash? She was probably 'unmotivated' because of that.

She had been working so much at this point she was probably just over it all. They milked the **** outta her. Album after album, tour after tour...

This career is definitely something she wanted, but very few people have reached the meteoric levels of fame she has and that is a very demanding place to be in, especially for such a young girl. They drained her at a very early age and I can understand why she seems to have a fatigued attitude towards life all the time. The work stopped being rewarding for her probably around the time of this video filming because look at the sequence of events that took place in her life immediately after this single. :-/

I believe David. I don't think Britney was loving her career at that point.

I think she's still very frustrated, because she doesn't get to do the things she wants to do. She doesn't get to make the music she wants to make. There is no control and she's a grown woman, it must be maddening.

We have never since seen the amount of hounding the Paparrazi did on her with anyone else (Lohan does come a VERY close second). 2006-2008 was the craziest year of a celebrity fandom and stalking. So when celebrities remotely complain nowadays, in my head I just want to be like "just be thankful you never endured what Britney dealt with" and people wonder why she completely freaks when around cameras nowadays. The media, and sadly us, destroyed her mentally in every way glad to see she is finally back and better though

I think it had more to do with the label shutting down everything she wanted to do.
