It's sad that the teacher was fired, but we don't know the full story. We don't know the context in which she used it, we don't know what kind of classroom it was. Laws are strict in classrooms because parents are supposed to be able to trust that their student is in a safe environment. This is the same as if the teacher had played a PG-13 movie for them without getting parents' permission, especially since they're in 6th grade. |
