Paramore was somewhat a mortal lock to be #1 this week. The song, epic. Finally found the actual video of it, epic. If I thought Crushcrushcrush was their best, this song might top that.

Guns N Roses just debuted on my other forum's globalchart and I thought it was good enough for the Hot Shot Debut. Next chart is the final regular season MWC chart of the year....I do plan on maybe one or two extra postseason charts IF I have extra time after I finish my endchart.

Paramore's gonna have some serious competition with Lights, Hey Monday and Taylor Swift plus the Redemption Song girls, In This Moment, Shiny Toy Guns and everyone else.

Welcome to the final MWC show of the year. The last couple of years on the final show of the year had so many debuts, but although they've quieted down this time around...that doesn't mean that it's light. We still have about 12 debuts this week from Esther Canata, Thalon, Carrie Underwood, Everly, Katy Perry, Sugababes, Elisa Jordana, Skillet, Angelica Rose, Lights, Shiny Toy Guns and Kendra Morris. Also, 2 extra debuts taken directly from Redemption Song making it 14 total. Entering today, Team USA has a tremendous 74.5-28.5 lead. Now, here's the scenarios:Stephanie automatically clinches with So Do I Say Sorry First if she is #1, although she doesn't have the tiebreaker over Belinda so she needs to beat Belinda by at least 2 spots as well as beat 3 Doors Down by at least 2 spots. For Stephanie's other hit Night Of My Life she needs to beat the top 3 by 18 spots or more while staying as many as 2 spots behind Delta, and for Delta Goodrem's Believe Again she needs to beat the top 4 listed by 20 spots or more. If these 5 songs remain where they are from last week, 3 Doors Down's It's Not My Time wins MWC Song Of The Year. For Belinda's Your Hero, she along with Finley is getting the most buzz so she might be the favorite. So are we set? Let's rock and roll. REMEMBER:Time permitting, there may be extra charts in 2008 but they will revert to normal scoring. Also, unlike last year I will tabulate as normal. Sometime next week I'll compile all the songs that scored and we'll see who did the best, plus remember all points are multiplied by 5.

We'll get to the MWC Final Standings shortly, we gotta get to this week's chart. In a stunner, Aussie singer Vanessa Amorosi had a quickstrike to #2 early on and started to fall, but a mad push for this singer/songwriter with street team support, and her announcing she will be performing and presenting at the Year-End awards show, was enough to surge the song Perfect up 26-1 after 39 shows (20 weeks on) and great for a #14 finish in the MWC Standings which is eligible for #1 contention on the Year-End chart. Paramore got blindsided by slipping 1-2 with Decode in what looked like it was a sure-fire #1. Lights is down 2-3 with Drive My Soul which becomes the 3rd most successful song by a Canadian ever by passing Lillix's It's About Time and is now just behind Avril Lavigne's Complicated (#2) and Melissa O'Neil's mammoth hit Speechless. (#1) Hey Monday had a red-hot start and continues to sizzle even though down 3-4, they were so close to regaining #1. Jazmin Conte, Angelica Rose and Kendra Morris remain in the 5-7 range with Jazmin passing Angelica for #5. Shiny Toy Guns are Ricocheting a bit staying at #8. David Cook becomes only the 3rd American Idol winner to make the top 10 up 16-9 with Light On. Taylor Swift rebounded 10-4 last week but stumbled back 4-10 with Love Story. Was it enough to overtake Carrie Underwood for Top Country Artist? Rest of commentary later, check out all the tunes That's how the last chart of the year shapes up, a shocking upset of #1 by Australian songstress Vanessa Amorosi with Perfect in what was a crazy year which the USA had complete control, but on the final chart of 2008 the World finally regained the top spot on the countdown.

Inside The Scorers:The songs inside the top 53 all have a chance to take #1 Song Of The Year. Odds on them coming up. Within Temptation is #53 but their chances are minimal along with 26-51. Sara Bareilles still has a great chance despite Love Song being #52 because of impact and airplay. Katy Perry's only shot is to win over the final airplay standings and dominate them. Shiny Toy Guns have a decent chance along with Hayden Panettiere, Belinda's End Of The Day and Nightwish. Amy Studt's chances are pretty good along with Sara's Bottle It Up. Even though Natasha Bedingfield is #18 with Angel, those chances are slim because of the complete lack of airplay support. Linkin Park and Coldplay have a shot at #17 and #16. Krystal Meyers will be opening in the 12-hole when the new season begins and she has a decent shot at #1 Song Of The Year. Vanessa Amorosi's surprising performance this week all of a sudden gives her a good shot at taking home the title along with Lights' Drive My Soul who was 8@1 which was tied for most times on top by a non-USA artist. The Veronicas are #12 but still have a great shot. Joanna Martino has a strong chance of pulling it off too and don't count out Skillet at #10 who turned on a 4@1 during the Christian artist dominance. Delta Goodrem was solid last year with In This Life and does it again in 2008 at #9, but chances aren't as good since this is the only song in the the top 20 points that didn't go top 3 in 2008. Natalie Grant may be a big favorite because I Will Not Be Moved dominated the chart at 15@1 which left 2nd place 8@1 in the dust. Natasha Bedingfield had been the favorite most of the way with Pocketful Of Sunshine, but a so-so end caused her to flail around and might've had it slipped from her fingers. Britt Nicole has a great shot at #6 with Believe. 3 Doors Down is mathematically out even though it's #5 because it only had MWC Power on its side. Delta Goodrem is #4 with Believe Again and has an excellent shot of finishing #1 on the Endyear, as does Stephanie McIntosh's Night Of My Life at #3 which has not left the top 10 of the points chart since January 16th. 2nd is Stephanie's massive hit So Do I Say Sorry First which hasn't even left the top 10 of the points chart since WAY back in March or so...of 2007!, and has an incredible chance of finishing #1 for the 2nd year in a row which is uncanny! However, she needs Belinda & Finley to not do well on Total Airplay because Your Hero is #1 on the MWC standings with 7,878 and 4@1 and dominating the top 5 was a key. Last year she was a chart rookie, now she's chart champion. Is she the MWC Artist Of The Year? Not yet. Stephanie, Delta, Natasha, Belinda, Lights, Joanna, you can make a case for many artists.
