Sadly this is very true. I often feel my love life would be far less hopeless if I was straight. However, I do think we have an advantage once you actually get in to a legit relationship with an actual nice guy, due to the lack of gender difference.

Love yourself! There's no ugly in this world except for hate (including sexism, racism, lookism, etc.).

This is what I tell myself.

Men gay or straight superficial in general. Everyone can be really but women are more willing to compromise personality over looks.

Men are all about the visual and with the way gay culture is about body types it makes it worse.
I have seen this so called advice from lots of gays saying you need to be what you want.

Um what? that's not how genuine interest in someone works.
You would want someone who accepts you as you are.

Now I am not saying don't make changes. But only do it for yourself not for some guy to get him to even look at you.

Self confidence over attention from a guy/girl any day.

All of this post and physical attractiveness is subjective anyway.

Confidence is the important thing. An insecure attractive person isn't very attractive at all. I know it sounds cliche but confidence is sexy. Just tell yourself you're the bomb and go around acting like you're amazing. People will pick up on it.
