Wasn't there a leaked image of Windows 9? Pretty much the start menu is back except half of it is now metro-esque with live tiles because people couldn't handle the big scary full screen Metro mode/were too incompetent to find a way back to the desktop.. and the search bar isn't through the charms bar anymore? I think this is it but I could be totally wrong, it's been a while:
I'm actually amused at how they can make the most minimal changes and dramatically shift people's perspective. Everyone was loving 8.1 but really nothing dramatic at all changed compared to 8.. they just shifted one or two things because people are so extremely unwilling to adapt and there's a ton of misinformation around (which is Microsoft's fault for not executing this all better). I do tech support so I'm kind of bitter because I'm really sick and ****ing tired of teaching people 8/8.1. Especially since it's so easy. I really prefer it to 7 now and I'm not on a touch screen device or anything.

Windows Phone has had Cortana for a while now. It was supposed to have another name, Cortana was just the internal testing name but the windows community loved it so much that Microsoft decided to keep it. She's pretty sassy.
