Nope, I have to deal with the HORRIBLE Metric system all the time so I know how to use it, I know all conversions...

For example a Russian source says a bullet is 7.9mm in diameter, weighs 7.9 grams and flies at 715 m/s with 2019 J of energy... what useless information, now I have to convert it to the ICONIC Imperial system.

In my head I know:

1 inch = 25.4 mm
1 gram = 15.4324 grains
1 meter = 3.280839895012 feet
J = (1/2)m*v^2

So 0.311 diameter, 123.5 grains at 2,345 ft/s...

The energy is (1/2)123.5*2345^2/7000/32.174 = 1508 ft·lb

I get that you like imperial but you just can't trash the metric system when it is clearly the superior one. Like the imperial system has all those random numbers... Where's the logic behind them? Why 1 inch is 1 inch? Why one foot is 12 inches? Why not eleven?

(3 by 3 because its cubic)

1 Km = 10 Hm = 100 Dm = 1000 m = 10000 dm = 100000 cm = 1000000 mm



In metric system many of internal convertions are direct, you dont need to make calculations, its much more efficient

I use the Imperial cause I'm already used to it as an American.

Metric except for when talking about weight and height. I find most of imperial very confusing

Metric. The Imperial one is really hard to get a hold off for example as you need 1760 yards to get one mile

12 inches = 1 foot
36 feet = 1 yard
1,760 yards = 1 mile

437.5 grains = 1 ounce
16 ounces = 1 pound
2,000 pounds = 1 short ton
2,240 pounds = 1 long ton

32 deg F = freezing
212 deg F = boiling

You're done! Now you basically only need volume! Simply remember this phrase, "a pint's a pound the world round". Knowing that:

16 fluid oz = 1 pint
2 pints = 1 quart
4 quarts = 1 gallon

However in the UK the fluid oz is different (but still simple):

20 fluid oz = 1 pint
2 pints = 1 quart
4 quarts = 1 gallon

This makes the Imperial volume measurements all different than the US volume measurements.

1 meter = 3.280839895012 feet!
