I know right? I said the exact same when there was countless articles about Katy copying Gaga with the green paint vomit few months back and more recently with Katy's ARTPOP could mean anything from MTV, all this coming AFTER Gaga's tweet shading Katy with the mechanical horse and green hair (which I thought she'd get dragged for). Just weird to see the media praise / hail Gaga as original and be on her side again especially against Katy.
This is just the beginning y'all. Cheek To Cheek's acclaim has yet to arrive.

It is/was only a matter of time before the media got bored of Katy being on top, and take their aim. I'm hoping that they've had their fill with Gaga bashing lately - not because she/we can't take it, but because it's unfairly distracting and too influential on general perception of her.

please let not be so sure that C2C is going to get praised by critics and not dragged if they feel like it. dont be so naive guys. just because it is jazz w a legend, doesnt automatically make the critics nice to gaga.

I agree. Whilst I think and hope C2C will bring acclaim, we can't ignore that Gaga is still polarising and people have vendettas. I won't be surprised if they try to criticise her singing, her authenticity, or her overpowering of Tony. Regardless of whether it's a fair point or not.
However, if she does get attacked over it I have a feeling it will speed up the comeback process as people object to her being overly criticised. I bet there'd be a lot of "she can't win" think pieces and people defending her for being artistic enough to make a jazz album whilst her peers are playing it safe etc.

Nah. I hope Sexxx Dreams but who knows. Maybe there's gonna be no music.

Sexxx Dreams would be perfect for a perfume ad.
If she really wanted, they could use this as an opportunity to push it without officially releasing.
