Tbh it's better because it gives artists their deserved money. Artists bitch so much about Spotify when it's their labels fault, and Soundcloud doesn't pay any money at all

As an independant artist myself Soundcloud has gone to **** in 2014.

It's not a bad thing for artists, because it's another form of revenue that they weren't getting by posting on Soundcloud exclusively.

Funny how people look over it with Youtube, yet when Soundcloud (which is highly popular and will generate money for themselves and artists) do it people just respond with "ugh".

Considering ATRL is basically 99% about chart talk, I swear like basically all of you seem to forget that music is unfortunately (technically) a product (just like any other you would pay for).

I don't think so tbh. It will be like Spotify, the company and the label will make all the money while the artists get 6 cents for every 1000 plays. 6 ****ing cents!
Soundcloud allowed artists to expose their music directly to fans and build a relationship with fans who hopefully will end up buying the albums.

It depends - I don't see them being as bad as Spotify, because people would jump ship completely.
