Claims of "cultural appropriation" have unfortunately become such a joke that people are starting to discredit when it's actually serious and something is genuinely racist.

And combine that with the fact that most of them are teens who lack any degree or deep knowledge on cultural studies and probably seen Japan or Asia by media sources only.
