Are you getting bored of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge?
At first I found them funny but some now are so pathetic or just too try hard. It especially annoys me when people do it yet do not know the cause of the charity, for example some girl on my Facebook said 'My video of this throw water on yourself nominations'
Still I laugh mostly at the 'fails' and the celebrity ones.

I don't find it entertaining, but it's for a good cause

I never was a fan of it, despite it being for a good cause.

It's for a good cause but I do agree that more people are trying too hard for it to be funny.

It's for a good cause so I can careless, but what I hate is when people start to bandwagon or see this as just a game.
I'm pretty sure that 80% of these people who have done the challenge don't know what "ALS" is or what it even stands for. They do it because they are challenged and it looks fun.
For example, my brother tells me I have to do the ice challenge. I said how come? He said I got nominated and everyone is doing it and you have 24 hours to do it or donate money. I said who said? I got nominated by 4 people, but I'm not doing the challenge. I much rather donate. Like why do we have restrictions for these sort of things? And I asked him if he knew what ALS was, he said no, but he will search it when he has time. I think for me that is problem. Why do something for a disease that you are unaware of?
People mostly see this as a game and it takes away for the overall cause. They much rather do the challenge then to actually donate $100.
I get it, it shows awareness. But I'd much rather donate the money, where they will find it much more rewarding and beneficial, then to be a part of some forgetable challenge.
But to answer the question, I don't really pay mind to it anymore, but I do see the LATE older generations doing it now though.

The entertainment factor is secondary to the real reason for this challenge. It doesn't matter if you're bored or not as long the donations continue to pour in.

Anna Wintour surprised me, so that was really 'cool' to see.
But otherwise it does get old fast. And it's all a little bit hyprocritical when many of them pretend it's about when it's really about the event.
Still wouldn't mind to see some hot men like Dylan McMDermott or Clive Owen doing it. I guess I am just as hypocritical.

I want every person who bothers doing it to donate money. That's all.

The ice challenge hasn't been going on for literally two months. I don't know when "ALS" got involved but it was for ages just an ice-challenge or donate to a charity of your choice.

Exactly!
And I think it's great that someone finally had the idea to utilize these stupid viral trends we have every month or two for a good cause.

No. It doesn't matter if it's not funny, it's raising millions for a good cause. The cinnamon challenge, milk challenge, salt and ice challenge, all these viral things and finally one comes up for an amazing cause.. and people wanna complain

Right, but if the people who challenged you (even if they were unaware of ALS) didn't do it, you wouldn't have been challenged and your $100 would have never been donated. Also, if everyone had your mentality ("I rather donate than do the challenge")—this would have never taken off. Who cares if a few people are just doing it for attention? That's the internet, people do things for attention. At least in general they are helping tremendously

It hasn't come in full force to Brazil anyway, at least I don't see my friends in FB doing it. So no, I'm not bored.
My only complain is that more men should be doing it shirtless, perhaps semi nude, like Cristiano Ronaldo

I think you were missing the point, but fine.
From what I read they have raised almost 10 times more than they did last year, and that's awesome, but why not create a challenge where people will be able to do the challenge and everyone would still need to donate, let's say $1 or $5, and those that don't donate $100? I think to me that makes much more of a difference because these "ice bucket challengees" would truly be doing something here, but the truth is they would not have done it if that was the case. But nevertheless, I see your view on it.
Also, we even got celebrities in on this, from Jennifer Lopez to Iggy to Ben Affleck to Cristian Ronaldo to Oprah Winfrey, but they much rather do the challenge then to donate some of their money, atleast from all that what we see or know. And that's alittle sad to see also.

This. However it feels like people are jumping on it for publicity to a certain extent.

Nothing is stopping anyone from donating money , even if they accept the challenge, nor is the ALS charity declining small donations less than $100. The tens off millions raised thus far did not only come from those who chose not to pour ice water on themselves. The silly water pouring is free advertising, and as long as it continues, the donations are likely to keep coming. So, regardless of whether or not the people accepting the challenge donate money, they are contributing to the cause.
