Everyone in the audience would be people in their early 20s on party drugs. It would be a mess. Randoms would probably storm the stage. It's better to keep the audience as awkward, rich, white teenagers who don't know how to dance so they just flap their hands in the air.

The most iconic VMA's have happened in New York, just look at 2009.

Las Vegas is really small, 3 miles long as most. Unless you're at the Bellagio, City Center, Caesars, the Venetian or the Wynn it's all just second rate entertainment. Plus why would we want old washed up has beens high on pills performing at the VMA's? We need quality performances.

The 2007 was the messiest VMAs ever. The whole "Suites" performances was a cluster**** and made me not want to watch.

If the VMAs want to switch things up they should go back to Miami.

Not much has changed. Unless they host it at the MGM like the Billboard awards and IHeartRadio festival...I don't see it.
