I mean, I understand she doesn't wanna come off as arrogant but I feel as though other females in music ex: Madonna, Nicki, M.I.A, Britney etc. are pretty good at defending themselves against the media/public in a pretty clear way.

Nope. I actually think she's quite the opposite. I think she's too eager to clear her name lately. Like she's feeling personally offended by some of the criticism against her. Which is a natural response but I hope she gets over the hump and continues to do what she wants to do.
