France is literally one of the hardest markets for American artists, even the most mainstream ones, to reach number one. Quebecoise singer Coeur de pirate (my fave) hit number one there with Pour un infidele (which judging by the pace at which she makes albums and the ageism in the music industry might be her only one). Katy has none, which is awful but understandable because like I said France is usually not into American music that much (though Happy spent like a century at number one his year). Ke$ha hit number one with TiK ToK which is impessing. Look at Shakira with 5!
