The Fame sold around 13M/ 15M, not 16M.
Count the remix album (1M) if you want.
BTW is not at 7M, it's at 6M.

13 + 1 + 6 + 1.8 = 22M.
15 + 1 + 6 + 1.8 = 24M.

There's NO way Gaga reached 27M, EXCEPT if she's using her label's numbers which include shipments. If so, you have to count them for Katy as well which means Teenage Dream alone sold 11M.

And the gap between the two will get even longer with G2G.

BTW is at 7m. And you forgot The Remix and A very Gaga holiday which sold like 1m combined. And TF is at 16m.

It honestly would take quite a long time for Katy to make up for a ~10 million deficit.

Um can someone explain to me how Lady Ga Ga has sold 27 million albums? 14 million for TF+TFM, 5.8 million for BTW and 1.8 million for Art Pop. That comes out to 21.6 million if you can't do the math! Maybe with all her remix albums and other things she's at 22 million

Katy's album sales are around 13.5 and she's closing the gap by about 2 million per album now so my answer is yes!
