If you send in a help request, it'll be reversed. That nickname doesn't mangle Taylor's name and is universally acceptable in the eyes of the mod squad. You were probably warned by accident. (It was probably warned for off topic tho)

No. Nicknames can be offensive and vulgar at times. If we want to keep a level of integrity to this place the rule should stay enforced as it is now.

I mean, we all know the rules. Don't use nicknames. If you do, don't complain for getting warned because you did. I sympathize that even the most harmless are getting warned as said in this thread, but I think taking the rule off will just make things messy and increase the delusion of stans.

I think members should be able to use nicknames when referring to their faves in a specific era of theirs, e.g. Famega - what's wrong with that? It's not at all offensive
