And I remember me doing calculation for WANEGOD sales 2 years ago using data from the site and the final number was quite close. Not really accurate but it's quite a good indication for me

Yep it is very helpful and a good indicator of what is going on until official numbers are released.

I understand what y'all are saying... Just hard for me to accept the change I guess I'll just have to wait and hear the whole album. Do you guys think she'll release promo singles like she did with speak now and red? If so what if the next single is like begin again??!

Pop music industry is too intense. But I think she'll face a decline after two pop albums and will decide to come back to her roots. Yet it will be too late to come back big.

|
I don't think she's gonna need a big come back, Taylor is going to stop making music once she's not very commercially successful anymore.

Pop industry will consume her and abandon as they always do. Pop Taylor ain't revolutionary, she mixes the current trends and make them sound bearable. Shake It Off, though phenomenal a.ka song of my life, clearly sounds like an Umbrella+Girlfriend+Thrift Shop+Happy+The Best Damn Thing mash-up. She takes what's best in current pop music and mashes it perfectly. But she also needs to add something new from her. I hope 1989 is innovative and cohesive both lyrically and musically. I don't want Taylor to be called "just one of those tacky pop girls".

|
Now this is exactly what I need from her. Preach.

Maybe even better, maybe an All Too Well?
Some people are forgetting one of the most important things she said at the livechat, which was that as long as she thinks we like something she'll keep doing it. And she clearly knows how much we like All Too Well (Sonically and lyrically) so there is pretty much guaranteed to be a few ATW's on 1989 if that makes you feel better.

Yes, she will, and please, give pop Taylor a chance. We still have those amazing country songs and I'll miss country Tay too. I fell in love with her country-pop sound and later appreciated her long ballads I would never listen to if i didn't stan for her. I really want her to come back to her roots, yet let her try something new.

She's seemed very happy the past two years. Most country songs are well about love... She's not really had a lot to write about. So instead she made some good pop music about just letting everything go

But I wouldn't worry too much While MM may be producing 7 tracks, there's always the possibility that Nathan produced all the other songs (other than Ryan Tedder Probably), especially the solo written song They may not be traditional country but good none the less.

Stop sis. She said this is officially her first full pop album.
THERE IS NO EFFIN ONE COUNTRY SONG IN IT.

Music is something that is personal, just like colours, food, school subjects... etc. While you might think this is a bad song, another person might think it's the best song ever. Just because I prefer blue, doesn't mean it's the best colour. You can drag the song, drag Taylor and drag us all, but as long as you know that it's just your opinion, and not a fact.

Don't worry. I'm 99.9% sure there are gonna be All Too Well-style on the album. She's not dumb enough to erase any from of storytelling her lyrics 'cause that's what she basically built her career on.

We all know that Nathan is a country producer, not a pop producer and you were implying that Nathan could be one of those producers for 1989.

You flops she is going to do the same she did with RED, one catchy fun pop song (WANEGBT), one mature lovely ballad (BA), another pop song (IKYWT), She is going to give us 3 ballads to cry daily with the Ryan Tedder collaboration and her solo song.

Are you implying Starlight and Holy Ground are pure country?
