People have their opinions, I don't disagree, but I've never felt Taylor has ever tried to stand out among her peers by any means. I'm sure shes happy to just be one of the cool kids, and that doesn't always have to be a bad thing.

I don't think she sold out, but I think her colossal success has made her overly confident and now she's too comfortable. This seems more like a "fun experiment" than a song

They are right. Honestly, as much as I love Taylor I feel like this song is just (and I hope it is the only song of this caliber on the album) plainly put, terrible - a step back. Even comparing it to some other popstars known for their generic sound this just feels super flat.

I have huge expectations for the album though it's just that yesterday... was a hard pill to swallow.
