Let's take it back to almost forty eight hours ago.

Ninety percent of the time, I'm quite articulate and eloquent.

Ten percent of the time, I have the emotional and verbal arithmetic of a capsized boat.

Yesterday was one of those times.

What I was trying to say? Britney Spears couldn't be iconic to just "gay men," as there's a huge swath of women who were girls/adolescents/young adults in 1998 - 2005 who almost worship her. Those women happen to be uniformly White and middle/upper middle class. (The fan base that Taylor Swift attracts now, and that the Spice Girls attracted before Britney.)

What came out? Was something completely inappropriate and untoward. It caused pages of debate, and made me look/sound like my account had been hacked by kyleaustin.

That was not my intent. I sincerely apologize for my lack of tact, and my inability in that moment to get my point across.

Hopefully we can move on from this!

Anyway, why does it take like 3 minutes for a page to load on ATRL but on twitter, tumblr and everywhere else on the internet including random blogspots or etsy pages all load instantly? What are these sites doing that ATRL isn't? Literally makes me not want to even bother posting here anymore because I have zero patience (or memory) to wait 5 minutes for a thread to load and by the time it does it's either closed, flopped away or I just forgot what I was going to say.

This is an injustice. And in 2014 it's completely inexcusable. What is this place, a geosites webpage from 1999? pfff. Bye.

In 1999 it might be difficult to handle 1000 people visiting your site. Not in 2014. I had like 300 people on my tumblr at one time a month ago and had not a single issue. A big website such as this should be resourceful enough to handle such a relatively small load of visitors every so often. No excuses!
