Beyoncé will be honored with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the VMAs. How are you feeling about all the tabloid chatter leading up to the big night?
That’s the gift that keeps on giving. If we could have Solange and Jay Z around somewhere, how’s that not good? But really, the decision to give Beyoncé the award had absolutely nothing to do with the controversy or chatter and was decided well before this. In fact, just after Justin [Timberlake] left the stage in 2013. And then when Beyoncé put out an album in such a visual way, she was the most obvious choice.
I think she does deserve the award. Her career is amazing, while most of people won't find her videos iconic, except for single ladies, I think she has very good videos like CIL,RTW and the entire visual album. She deserves far more than Justin Timberlake whose videography is nowhere near as Beyonce. So she deserves the award not for impact but for quality and consistency.

Awl Trent I agree with everything but the no one thinks her videos are iconic because the world isn't ATRL but yasssss
It was kind of obvious out of the pop girls (who hasn't received it yet) she was the one who had delivered some great videos as DC and Bey, the visual album was just the cherry on the top of the cake tbh.
