SHE HAS NO ICONIC VIDEOS?!



The people saying this are clearly pre-teens because if you were alive and paying attention to music in the 90s then you would know how ICONIC some of her videos are including: Always Be My Baby, Honey, VOL, Heartbreaker, and Fantasy. Even videos that aren't the most remembered are still known for specific scenes, like her dancing in the fields in Dreamlover, her sitting in the back of the car with her hair blowing in the wind in Emotions, the B&W noir masterpiece of My All, etc. Now can anyone name 5 iconic JT videos? Maybe Cry Me A River and that's it.

Mariah obviously deserves it. Bland? Child.. have you seen the Glitter videos? Shake It Off? Crybaby? Her videography is flaw-free.

Sorry, but you cannot be serious when you think Justin Timberlake made a bigger impact on pop culture than Mariah did. No, just no.

The videos posted on the OP are perfect examples why she should've won at least one or more VMAS in the past. There are also several other videos like Always Be My Baby, My All, Shake It Off, etc. which are also good. But we'll settle for the Vanguard award in 2015 when she makes her big comeback with the re-release of The Elusive Chanteuse.

According to Wiki the video premiered around mid-August 1999, which means it would've been eligible for the 2000 VMAs, not the 1999 ones--which helps explain in part why it was snubbed, since it was fairly old by the time of the 2000 awards. Still, I don't know if it would've made it against this competition:

Not including other female videos that also received nominations in the year 2000 like Lauryn Hill's "Everything Is Everything," P!nk's "There You Go," "J.Lo's "Waiting for Tonight," etc.

So Justin has a bigger impact on pop culture than Mariah Carey this is what you're saying. Justin Timberlake deserves a Vanguard award but Mariah Carey does not.

Well... Way more than Justin Timberlake for sure. She has had great videos but VMA seem to hate her As I said, if JT won, anyone could win now.
