It's a massive and diverse country so of course there are "weird stories" like what happens in Florida. That doesn't make them common occurrences.
Ferguson isn't reasoning to not visit - it shows that we HAVE the freedom of speech (unlike many other nations).
Clearly the "real-life Purge" was just a silly rumor started by a teenager. I mean, really.

America is a big area, some places have better conditions than others and aren't on featured news stories.

Are you aware that there are 49 different states here. Hell when you say "Florida" you aren't even talking about most places within that state

I mean Florida has Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World and Busch Gardens. And then, of course, Miami, South Beach, Boca Raton, Ft. Lauderdale, St. Augustine (Fountain of Youth - despite that being a FRAUD and the water tastes bad but whatevs), the Everglades, West Palm Beach, Tallahassee, Jacksonville and Pensacola.

Florida is really interesting and very cool. Well, the southern half at least. I've loved it every time I've visited. Their politics are truly ****** though.
