Jourdan did one of these September issue model covers back in 09'.
Jourdan's done a lot of campaigns this year. Topshop , Balmain, DKNY, Express, the Beyonce video. She's been in the game for a minute, now, and still walking and booking lucrative campaigns.
If I was going to swap anyone, it wouldn't be Cara, it would be Karlie, and I'd trade her for either Fei Fei or Malaika Firth
That said, I really am surprised that it wasn't a Beyonce cover. From a commercial standpoint, I don't see how they could have gone wrong with that decision, given the year she's having. I guess, at the end of the day, I'm just glad it wasn't Kate Upton. I like to support WOC, particularly black models on magazine covers; so I might have to buy this.

Terrible cover. You have 3 of the top models in the world right now and this is what you come up with. Who shot this? Testino? They need to get rid of him already. This is clearly a fold out cover. Cara is unnecessary in this shoot and doesn't necessarily deserve the center shot. Fei Fei Sun should have been the other model making it a DIVERSE cover. But then again this is US Vogue. So I guess I should be happy a black model even made the cut. And at this point I'm happy Anna put actual models on a cover for a change.
That all being said Lupita should have gotten the September issue. That was a big mistake.

Oh no, I definitely wasn't trying to downplay Jourdan, but the title of the cover is "The Instagirls" and so I guess they wanted to choose the top models right now with significant social media followings and name recognition outside of the industry. Jourdan's definitely established, but I can understand why they chose who they chose...I just wish they went with a different idea.

All of this. And if this was really the MODEL issue, I would have even loved to see some of the high-profile newcomers grace the cover: Binx Walton, Anna Ewers, Chiharu Okunugi...
But honestly we should just be glad they didn't give the cover to Blake Lively again.

Omg Binx <3 I didn't know anyone else here knew her lol. We need a model thread.
And lol at Blake Lively Anna and the US Vogue team have become so damn predictable. I was for sure it would be Blake or Sarah Jessica Parker for the 11th time  I guess we have to be grateful for what we got lol.
