Do you think Marijuana should be legalised? I personally don't care either way. If it is I don't mind, but I won't be using it anyway. If it isn't then that's cool too. Thoughts?

Yes. If alcohol is legal, cigarettes are legal, OTC medications are legal, fast food is legal, processed foods, etc...then marijuana should be legal.

I don't think it should be made readily available though. There's a difference between decriminalising something and allowing it to be sold in shops. If it's sold in shops, it's easy to get, regardless of your age. Weed isn't like alcohol in the sense that you wake up and go "ohhh god...I'm never drinking again, ****." You can smoke it day after day and, in time, you get ridiculously lazy. For kids at school/college - that's not good. That's really, really bad.

I remember being 17 years old and trying to score weed with my friend one night. We tried for like 4 hours and realised it just wasn't happening, so she drove us all home. Looking back, the struggle to find it at such a young age was probably a good thing. If it was available to us, we probably would have smoked it every day and would have f-ed up our educations.

That wont happen because the tobacco business is one of the biggest in the world.

It's always about money. They wont sell Marijuana because you can plant it while Cigarettes are much harder to manufacture. If MJ is legalised, the Tobacco industry will suffer and will lead to a big economic crisis.

it would need to be legalized on a federal level for it to mean anything. even though some states have legalized it, under federal law it's still a felony to be under the influence of marijuana, which is stupid. it would help the economy a bit though if the government taxed it, but that would make too much sense hence why it hasn't been done.

I have friends who do but idk how to keep anything alive so

1 gram weed here costs about 7-8 euros (around 9-10 US dollars) so it's more convenient to grow them yourselves.
But it's not THAT expensive I guess.

I do agree though that it shouldn't be readily available. Getting high every now and then (or whatever) is no big deal but I don't think it needs to be something that people are encouraged to smoke all day, every day.
