Because they were too fat to go into actual sports so they do what everybody else does when they have no other options, they teach.

They used to be in shape and play sports in high school/college but got lazy as they got older and now teach gym because it's all they know how to do

I had only one hot gym teacher in 7th grade called Mr. H. He was tall, tan, dirty blonde. blue eyes and had a deep husky voice. He was really athletic looking and you could tell he wasn't really feeling his job. Anyway, sometimes he'd play with himself during class and get really sweaty.
