The Pacific Northwest (in the United States, commonly abbreviated as PNW) is a region in western North America bounded by the Pacific Ocean to the west and, loosely, by the Rocky Mountains on the east. Though no agreed boundary exists, a common conception includes the U.S. states of Oregon, Washington, and the Canadian province of British Columbia. Broader conceptions reach north into Alaska and Yukon, and south into the coastal and mountainous regions of Northern California.
Whether you're from B.C's central coast or Northern California (is it part of the region? Up for you to decide!), here is a place for all of ATRL's Pacific Northwesters to gather and talk about... Pacific Northwesty things!
From coffee shops to our beautiful natural scenery, organic foods to biking, hipsters to Apple products, and of course - rain. Let's talk about all the often crazy (and hilarious) situations you only really get out here.
So feel free to introduce yourself and where you're from.
As a Bay Area native, I must correct you. We are not part of the Pacific Northwest.
I agree (I'm not from the bay though), I think Humboldt-Shasta qualifies more as being in the Pacific Northwest region. Although, most don't really consider any part of California as being part of PNW.
Anyway, at some point in my life I think I would love to live in Seattle and/or Vancouver even for just a year or half a decade or something.

I guess for California, the extreme north could be considered. I'll keep it in though since I looked around and there are some Northern Californians who consider themselves as PNWers.

Yeah there definitely are some SF locals who consider themselves a part of the region. Overall, California is just a hard state to divide, lol, some consider areas above Fresno to be Northern CA, while others say anything below Sacramento would be Southern Ca.
To get this thread back on track, here's a beautiful fog time lapse video of Vancouver
I went to a small town once in Oregon, it's beautiful, I love the vibe.
That could be really cool. Aside from the town in Oregon have you ever visited the PNW?
Unfortunately no, I'm too broke to go on any trip
I think the Pacific Northwest (especially the coastal area is my favorite region), the landscape, the temperature, the weather are all just perfect for me. The only thing preventing me from moving permanently there is that I'm way too attached to my hometown even though it sucks bad lol.
I actually just visited Seattle a couple of weeks ago for the first time, beautiful city and easily the best city I've visited in the U.S. Pike Place Market was amazing and everything else, from the people, the weather, and the amount of things to do there made me fall in love with the place.
I might even consider moving to the Seattle area someday.
