"One In A Million" and "Are You That Somebody" are far from stale. Stale is what Timbaland became from 2007 onwards.

Basic R&B? You really don't know what you're talking about. One In A Million is the album that CHANGED the R&B game and AALIYAH is the album that was so far ahead of its time, that if played today, people would still think it's some new **** on the radio. She was amazing.

She inspired it a lot. You can hear similarity when you hear songs from this genre.

She will always remain beautiful!

I wasn't trying to say that her music was stale but that her music basically fell in line with the music they were dissing, hence why I put "stale R&B." Really, that Timbaland music - while excellent - was really no different than the hip hop, R&B and soul music that were taking over airwaves in the '90s. I hate when these articles try to diss and write off R&B music and the artists who work hard in that genre and then nitpick a few artists to make it seem as though they don't hate the genre. It's tired, overdone and a lot of other things I won't get into.

I wasn't that into OIAM nor her debut(which I think was horrible). TBH I think "AALIYAH" was the real game changer...the album still sounds so current and ahead of it's time.

The ignorance of people who try to **** on Aaliyah and her legacy is embarrassing. It's so anglo-saxton.

For the record, the magazine it's in is a music publication dedicated to funk, soul, hip-hop, reggae, blues, R&B, etc. So they're obviously not writing off the genre, nor do they hate it. So...
