I was just going through my iTunes the other day, and I got to say the 70s is my favorite. I think that I may like the music from the past two decades more, but I really appreciate 70s music more. Plus, I'm named after a 70s musician so I'm kind of biased.
this is so hard for me to answer, because this changes monthly. I want to say 00s simply because I did lived it, and there's so many great memories that I have with these songs like being at the club hearing then, or driving in the car singing along to radio with friends and all that stuff.
But the late 90s help shape my liking of pop music, which is my favorite genre. If it wasn't for Britney, Backstreet Boys, Nsync, Spice Girls, and Destineys Child I wouldn't even have the same taste or outlook on music that I have today.
The 2000s over the 70s, 80s, and 90s? You've got to be kidding me So much terrible, lame, mediocre popular music in the 00s. All the terrible pop-rock
The 10s have been surprisingly good so far though, and I feel like we could be heading in an even better direction right now.
I stan for rap music, so of course 2000s I like a lot
2000s were amazing for rap. You had everything from T.I.'s pop-rap masterpiece Paper Trail to Kanye's first albums to Tech N9ne and Nas and just the entire decade was
I'm basing this off where I liked most music from. Most of the music I enjoy listening to came from the 2000s, then the 90s, and then 2010s, and so on. Yeah, 80s, 70s, etc were all "influential" and all that, but it just doesn't speak to me on the levels that the 2000s or the 90s did.
The Top40 chart from 1990-1999 had the most diversity, I think. Plus I just love the dichotomy of the fun, bubbly and goofy music contrasting with the somber, dark and broody of the decade.
Other decades I like are as follows: 70s, 80s, 00s.
