I never understood why people like a company like Apple. It profits not by having a great selection of cutting-edge affordable products, but on image. Their product is like any on the market, just with their brand slapped onto it.

The product makes people feel niche and classy....they are selling a state of mind; a symbol. Luckily most people would rather save some money on the same (and oftentimes better) technology.

Since your ability to make your own argument is so minimal I will do it for you. If I was an Apple stan (I am not) I would point out that, despite the overall marketshare belonging to Andriod, iOS products get FAR more use. In fact, if you look at usage, such as calls, apps, internet, etc...... iOS does have more overall impact on the industry. People who buy iOS phones simply use them more... which makes them more lucrative for app developers.
