Her life
A smart and established artist shouldn't care about singles anymore and here is why. There is a reason why RS, Madonna, Bon Jovi and all the great artists don't bother catering to the masses like they did when they first started. Beyoncé is just following that path and if any of the current girls are smart, they need to start thinking about it:
Here is a breakdown of a typical single sales revenues:
--The record label takes 50% because they handle the release, the marketing, the promo on tv and radio deals, the copyrights, the licensing etc...
Here is an article about that http://www.legaljungleguide.com/reso...ongwriting.htm
So that leaves 35% for the songwriters, producers and the singers
So if there are 3 songwriters and one singer, we can say they'll probably get 8.75% each.
Which means, if a single sells 5M downloads, each at $1.29, the artist only makes 564,375
Y'all let bey get dogged on here so much we need more hives
girl, one more misstep from me and i won't be here to celebrate her vma performance
that's more important to me than responding to some forum trolls.i just report the thread/post and move on. they will forever remain pressed, so why bother?
