Wow I haven't played this game in years. I do really miss it though, is it still good?
I last played not long after cataclysm had been released, I enjoyed that.
It really does suck your life away though
Oh I did play a free trail of the panda expansion pack too.

Agreed
I dont think anyone can ever just be a ''casual'' player, to play it properly you need to be on it legit every day.
I havent played seriously since WOTLK in my teenage years but i really want to see what WOD will be like
(Mist of pandaria i had 0 interest in)

Yeah I didn't think Mists was very good at all.
WOTLK was back when I really, really loved it. It is honestly ridiculously difficult to not play it every day, especially if you wanna put effort into it and play it properly.

I haven't played since cataclysm I decided to give up this game since I treated it like a religion and spent way too much of my life on it. When I say I treated it like a religion... I lived this game, breathed this game, no one could separate me from it. If I was in the middle of a dungeon or a raid, good luck trying to get me off my computer If my friends wanted to hang out...good luck convincing me that what we would be doing is more entertaining than beating someone's ass in a PVP battle
Now that I look back, it was so sad But the game was so freaking addicting

The original WoW remains the best one yet. I was SO hooked back then.

I played for a month before mists came out. It was pretty good but I'm not sure I'd go back anytime soon. Thinking of GW2.

Well MoP was actually better then Cataclysm tbh but they were still nothing compared to WotLK or BC.
For the new expansion I am really excited about, every class has been revamped and look much better plus we're going back to basics, you can't fly in the new zone's and the damage is scaled back again to how it used to be before, you won't be doing half a million damage anymore cause that was getting rediculous.

It's very casual friendly now. You can do all the raids without a guild, you can queue for all group content. I think in many ways Mists was the best expansion because of all the improvements for casual players. There's so much you can do now on your own, in your own time.
I only raided hardcore during vanilla and TBC, and after that I became strictly casual, only playing a few months here and there. The jump from Cataclysm to Mists was definitely the biggest improvement from my point of view.
I'll definitely be playing WoD, it looks quite good.

That's nice to hear, esp. the no fly zone and the rescaling of the damage. But how's the situation withthe pvp? I mean, the players will have a lot hp but the damage will be lower? Maybe I should check mmo champion. Haven't been there in year(s).

Well I don't watch streams but my boyfriend does and from what I've been told everything seems to be really well balanced this time, in beta at least.
No, everything is squished, players, mobs, bosses, it's all gonna be roughly, starting point 40.000-45.000k dps, so WoTLK level and going towards mid Cata lvl, gear/ HP wise.

I haven't subscribed for quite some time, but depending on the release date, I may have a look.

I played breifly for alittle bit earlier this year, the Looking for raid is good, and so was timeless isle but it was so easy to get gear now its like you dont even have to work for your gear anymore
Even still with the LFR and all the casual player benefits they added in mist, i still feel you need to play more than just casually to REALLY get the most out of this game.

Making the game too casual and limitting the interaction between the players to the minimum is what drove me and many people away. I still hope that they will bring the old talent system back.

Same, I got really bored, I mean I also played in Vanilla and BC so this new wellfare gearing was kinda a turn off

I tried to play this once. All of my friends spent their entire lives on this and I just couldn't. I can't.
I'm all about being a casual player and this is not for me.
