All I'm saying is Rihanna is more influential this year than Britney Spears. Britney hasn't done much of anything this year but get smashing headlines of her going to the hospital or being sick, 2009 could be a diffrent story but Rihanna just owned the year as far as influential goes.

Britney is not a top five Most Influential Musician of 2008. Yes, she won a bunch of awards since the VMAs, however, that can be accounted more towards 2009 since they were one in the essence of a new era, Circus. She didn't have any major hits, and Blackout wasn't a top seller this year, besides about 300k copies. But that's not enough to be influential.

In the list, Rihanna & Lil Wayne are the only ones I'd consider.
