I dont think it's because they're black but rather because of the type of music they make and the type of way they present themselves. Not overly enthusiastic about ******ry and weird clothes (gags), not bubblegum (katy, britney) and not mainly catering to tweens&teens (Taylor, Ariana)

Anything that is "urban" or "alternative" will have more "credibility" artistically. Just look at how all the gays here go crazy with that "OMGGG, UrbanGa" mess every time Gaga releases something with someone black, even though her "urban" music UNDENIABLY sucks.

I remember when fools here wanted Jewels N Drugs to be a single when she first performed it at Swinefest. People thought it was actually coming when T.I.'s video was randomly released/leaked and thought it would be a GOOD thing. At least we dodged that bullet.

When I stanned for Brinty , to get under my skin my friend was like "She's trash, she's not even a real artist". He's straight and doesn't pay attention to pop music at all
