there's NO RULE about lead or features. It's just in label and artists choice if they do Jessie J, Ariana, Nicki oraz Jessie J feat. Ariana & Nicki. With Bang Bang label chooses all three leads, with Problem they choose Ariana feat. Iggy, but if they wanted, they could do Ariana & Iggy and no one would stop them. It's just their option how they write this and put on iTunes.
And Billboard count their number ones or Top 10s no matter if it's & or feat. everyone who is on the song and it's credtied - has number one.
with Wake Me Up or Low they count numner ones for Avicii and Flo Ride, but Aloe and Kesha weren't noticed so they don't have this number ones.
That's all I was trying to say, but all the Nicki fans in here seems to get easily offended as if they don't be doing the same thing.
I was just reminded of this thread.
I saw in the posts that a 3.2 million 7 week @ #1 isn't that big of a song.
So you know... Just curious. That's all.
oop, good obversation

Nicki had like 50secs in Bang Bang (total) out of a possible 3:16, so I don't understand how the lack of Nicki can justify why she shouldn't be counted as a lead. Besides she is the only credited songwriter/composer, Nicki being a lead artist is justified and I'm sure she's fine collecting those royalties that the two other girls will not receive.
Considering they are listing Young Money/Cash Money on their advertising, It's pretty obvious that this is a joint single.
