Body found stuffed in suitcase outside 5-star Hotel, arrests
Illinois teen and her boyfriend arrested in Bali after her mother's body is found half-naked, bloody and stuffed in a suitcase outside their five-star hotel

A wealthy Chicago academic who once worked for Ted Kennedy has been found dead in a bloody suitcase that was left outside an exclusive hotel in Bali, and her teenage daughter has been arrested.
Sheila von Wiese Mack's bruised and battered body was discovered in luggage left in the trunk of a taxi in front of the five-star St Regis hotel in Nusa Dua, an upmarket district south of Denpasar, on Tuesday.
The blonde 62-year-old widow from Oak Park, Illinois, was wrapped in a blood-stained bed sheet, had several wounds to her head, and appeared to have put up a struggle, a doctor said.
She had been staying in the hotel with her daughter, Heather, 19, and her daughter's boyfriend, Tommy Schaefer, 21, local police chief Djoko Hari Utomo told reporters. The couple were arrested early this morning after they were found at another hotel several miles away, the policeman said.

According to CNN, the couple told police they had been taken captive at the resort by an armed gang whose members killed Mack but they later managed to escape. However, authorities are investigating a different version of events.

She was recorded on CCTV arguing with Mr Schaefer in the hotel lobby the same night, he said.
The next day, the young couple were checking out and sent several suitcases down to a taxi, allegedly including the one that contained the victim.
But instead of going down themselves, they crept out via a stretch of beach at the back of the hotel - an area covered by surveillance cameras.

Kind of creepy, may she RIP. Dateline just did a 2 hour piece last weekend about a woman who was raped and nearly beaten to death then stuck in a suitcase out in Florida.

- Just days before the grim discovery, Ms Mack posted a photo on Instagram with the cryptic comment

- Her late husband, and her daughter's father, was composer James Mack

The young couple loaded the large suitcase into the boot, before going back into the luxury hotel - but they did not come back out again.
After waiting for two hours, the driver was advised by the hotel staff to report the matter to the police. It is believed that the suitcase was leaking blood by this point.
He drove to Kuta Police Station, where officers opened the suitcase and found Mrs Mack's body inside.
'The body was wrapped in a hotel bedsheet and tied up with duct tape,' said Inspector Djoko. 'There were blood stains all over the sheet.'
Two smaller suitcases were found in the St. Regis' garden both containing hotel towels with blood on them, police said.

This is absolutely tragic. How could that girl be so spoiled and bratty to the point where she felt her mother, who took them on a damn vacation, had no right to tell her hoochie ass what to do? Disgusting
