I honestly don't get why ATRL cares so much about this. Even if she did take inspiration from Mariah Cary who cares? As someone who likes most of Ariana's material but has been hesitant to stan for her, I can honestly say seeing all this makes no difference. Majority of Ariana's target audience has probably never even seen those Mariah music videos

Only the 2nd pic is somewhat similair, but even that kind of scenery probably has been doen before Mariah, so also a reach. The last pic is even the biggest reach.
