Yes I would support my child. I would take them to doctors/therapists to see of they really are trapped in the wrong body, and not just a confused homosexual.

seriously dude? like, if you never get any changes to make your life better then of course you're gonna be miserable for the rest of your life. you can't just ignore medical problems because "take what you can get". that's a horrible way to live.

I too believe I was born in the wrong body so OF COURSE I would support them. I would ask them questions first to see why they thought their gender didn't match their body and then take them to a gender specialist.

I'd take her the right people to see if he has Gender Idenfity Disorder. If so, then I would see to it that my child receives therapy to cope with feeling trapped in the wrong body. I'd encourage my child to express herself as a female, if that's she wanted, and would make sure the world saw her as that.

As she got older I would see a transgendered specialist doctor to see if she's ready for the proper hormone treatment. She'd definitely would have to get a job as a teenager to help pay for these finances, which would include reassignment in the future - if she really wanted to go that route.

I wouldn't ignore it or force my child to be one way or the other to prevent extreme psychological mess.
