Possibly....the idea of "escaping samsara" is very interesting. I don't believe in karmic influence, though. I've always seen the western view of "instant karma" as a childish excuse to behave yourself. It kills altruism, to me, which is a cornerstone of hinduism.

This is a fundamental misunderstanding of what reincarnation is, though. People who belong to religions that believe in reincarnation don't view it as a comfort at all. The point, according to those faiths, is to live a virtuous life so that you don't have to be reincarnated and feel the pain and suffering brought on from the world over and over again.

That being said, I don't know what to believe. I mean, I guess it's not that much more unbelievable than Heaven and Hell and I do think there's something on the other side, but

Isn't a suggested theory stating energy can neither be created nor destroyed? Conservation of energy. By that logic (and assuming souls can be considered energies), then it could entirely be logical.

Honestly, all forms of an afterlife are extremely intriguing and I wonder which options (if any) are correct.
