If you live in a gay capital with a really large gay population, then the networks you develop. Career-wise, it's almost like a bit of a brotherhood, you network with other gays and help each other get ahead in your careers. That's why the Jewish community have such a strong reputation for being wealthy, because they help each other out and hook each other up with good jobs. It's the same with gays.
