I can be in whatever thread I want, stay pressed. 50% of ALL PROFITS is a lot, especially based on their lack of input, so I wouldn't be surprised if 5sos sues to get out of the contract.

Does 1D manage at them? Someone letting you open for them on tour, or even discovering you ,does not justify them taking 50% profits into perpetuity.

50% is unconfirmed, and even then, it doesn't explicitly say they're making 50% of all 5SOS-related money. They're taking in 50% of whatever the company they're part of makes (and no one knows how much that is in terms of the total value of 5SOS). Obviously they're not making 50% of all of 5SOS-related profits, because that would mean they're taking in more than 5SOS's own label.

And 5SOS would be stupid to sue 1D since they are nothing without 1D. Until (if?) they blow up way more, all their fans are a subset of 1D fans. Their massive drops after every release show they don't have any sort of fan base of their own.

5SOS were already managed before One Direction discovered them, they also had a contract with Sony Music Publishing and released 2 EPs as well as touring and releasing music videos. They only became managed by Modest in 2013 when they began touring with 1D and they were already writing material for an album at the time. They also have another Australian based management who they were also under before touring internationally.

I wouldn't be suprised. 5SOS had more promotion on the video screens before the 5SOS and the 1D sets than 1D had during their own concert
