People are going to say the US, but the rest of the world built them up on their importance. Let's talk music wise (since we are on ATRL). Everyone pays more attention US charts, Grammy awards, and always distinct US sales from WW sales. People really make sure that the US is at a distinction.
There is also a difference between arrogance and pride. Every country has its share of arrogance, but people tend to pay more attention the the US' display.
