I meant I can't imagine girls wearing this stuff. Can you? It's not a trend. And that's Rihanna's strong suit. She influences what other girls wear. Why would she start wearing avant garde outfits when they're going out the door. Artists like Katy Perry, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj and Kesha have all stripped down the "after Gaga" looks. Now it's more about less-is-more. And this type of style is more-is-more. I don't know how she would incorporate it into day-to-day wear.
And as for ARTPOP, that era has had a million different looks already. Just because she had a Studio 54 inspired aesthetic for like 6 days in June doesn't mean it defined the era. That's what Gaga is terrible at. However it's what Rihanna is amazing at.
